ASTOR brand 170 kV, 4000 A, 50 kA line and transformer circuit breakers, whose production and type test processes were successfully completed in 2020, have begun to take their place in high-voltage power systems.

These circuit breakers, produced domestically by ASTOR for the first time in Turkey, were integrated into the transmission system as of 2020. Consequently, our country has significantly reduced its foreign dependency in this field and brought the power of domestic technology to the field.

These are strategically critical equipment that replace products previously imported and extensively used in transmission systems and power generation plants. The esteemed managers and technical team of TEİAŞ (Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation) completed the prototype testing and specification compliance reviews; subsequently, these products were commissioned and put into service across all TEİAŞ regions.

All circuit breakers successfully passed short-circuit, high-voltage, and type tests at accredited international laboratories (CESI / Italy). This process has proven the reliability and performance of our products according to international standards.

As ASTOR Enerji, our goal is to meet the demand for electrical system equipment—especially those with high import dependency—through domestic production in future projects and to make our country more technologically independent.
